Renato Leotta proposes a research program dedicated to the city of Genoa in collaboration with CHAN.
The project develops from the analysis of the relationship between landscape and architecture and on this occasion is a reflection on the city seen as a widespread exhibition space. The residence in Genoa continues Renato Leotta’s research on the Mediterranean dimension, understood as an expression not purely geographical. The observation of the waves and the scanning of this phenomenon (recorded in the form of photography or film) translates into a process of multiple connections between display and symbol.
During the opening, CHAN’s space is transformed into a laboratory, a place to start a dialogue with the public and to collect the materials produced throughout the residency.
